Mrs. Jennifer & Mrs. SHeena
Mrs. Jennifer and Mrs. Sheena's class has had a great couple of weeks! They've taste tested their homemade applesauce and had a visit from the Conway Fire Department! They loved learning how to STOP, DROP, and ROLL and how to crawl low on the ground to get out of harms way. Mrs. Jennifer and Mrs. Sheena's class even got to try on some of the firefighter gear! What a great few weeks they've had at Sallie Cone!
MISS SAMANTHA & MS. CHINETTA
This week in Miss Samantha and Ms. Chinetta's class, they learned about their bodies! They also studied the letters Bb and Xx, the number 3, the color yellow, and a triangle!
They discussed the parts of their face and the different parts of their body. They drew outlines of their bodies and drew in their own face. Miss Samantha and Ms. Chinetta's class also discussed bones and what x-rays are for. They made an "X-ray" of their hand with toothpicks and q-tips! They also made bodies out of noodles and called them Noodle Dudes! So cool!
The students in Miss Samantha and Ms. Chinetta's class practiced their ABC movements and read the book "Going On A Lion Hunt". They even acted out the motions!
Miss Samantha and Ms. Chinetta's class had a busy but awesome week here at Sallie Cone!
MRS. SYDNEY & MRS. STACY
This week in Mrs. Sydney and Mrs. Stacy's class they are using their five senses to learn about apples! They have had a taste test, dissected an apple, and made fun Apple art! They even discussed what a recipe was and made their own apple sauce! They LOVED tasting their homemade applesauce :) They have also talked about the letter A, the color green and learned a new vocabulary word- "shook"!
Mrs. Sydney and Mrs. Stacy's class sure has been busy learning this week! We love our little learners at Sallie Cone!
Mrs. Lily & Mrs. Karen
Last week in Mrs. Lily and Mrs. Karen's class they learned all about their 5 senses! They went on a nature walk to observe everything outside and drew a picture of the things they could see. They also had a taste test (salty, sweet & sour). Most kids enjoyed the sour taste the best!
Mrs. Lily and Mrs. Karen's class also sorted things that were smooth, rough & soft, did a re-tell with Brown Bear, drew pictures of things that were green (& practiced writing what was green), and learned some fun songs that were all about their 5 senses!
